Format and Content
This examination surveys what is generally found in the first two years of
the traditional undergraduate dental curriculum in Canadian Faculties
of Dentistry. Therefore, the focus is on the applicant’s
knowledge of the basic biomedical foundation sciences and the
applied pre-clinical sciences. It does not examine applied clinical
science knowledge and clinical judgment.
The examination consists of two (2) papers, each with 150 multiple-choice
type questions. Each paper is given in a two and a half (2 1/2)
hour examination session. The sessions are held in the morning
and afternoon of one day.
