The ACFD Board of Directors is comprised of a minimum of five directors, the President, President-elect/Treasurer, and three Member Representatives elected by the Members at the Annual General Meeting.

The Board manages the affairs, property and business of the Association including establishing and monitoring the annual budget, approving project proposals, measuring the progress of these projects and reporting outcomes to the Annual General Meeting. The Board works to advance the goals of the

Association through communication with Member Representatives and external organizations as well

as by setting policies for the Association.

deans' Committee

Membership of the Committee consists of the Deans/Director or equivalent of Canadian University-based

Education Institutions that offer an undergraduate dental program.

The Deans’ Committee considers issues of local and National concern and provides leadership to the

Association by offering recommendations to the Council regarding appropriate projects or policies

which might address such issues. The Committee also acts as an advisory body to the President,

Board of Directors, and other Committees of the Association.

academic affairs Committee

Membership in the Acadecim Affairs Committee is made up of the Associate Dean Academic or equivalent.

Members are appointed for a three year term, renewable. They meet biennially at the ACFD/AFDC Biennial

Conference and in alternate years at the ADEA Annual Session.

The Academic Affairs Committee acts as an advisory body to the Board of Directors concerning communication

with members regarding current goals and objectives of the Faculties. It also works co-operatively with other

Committees to promote, implement and evaluate initiatives approved by Council and discuss and advise on

issues arising from the Faculties.

Clinical affairs Committee

The Clinic Directors Committee consists of the Clinic Director or equivalent of each Member.

The committee normally meets annually during the ACFD/AFDC Biennial Conference and in

alternate years in conjunction with the ADEA BAFACA meeting.

The Developmental Affairs Committee consists of the Development Officer or equivalent of each Member Institution. 

The Committee normaly meets biennially during the ACFD/AFDC Biennial Conference.
