Community Programs
1. Health promotion program for the institutionalized elderly population
• undergraduate 2nd year students supervised by a dental clinician
• agreement with the" Institut universitaire de gériatrie de Montreal"
2. Clinic for Homeless vagrant young people
- dental clinic created 10 years ago
- free dental care performed by students and residents under supervision
- Agreement with a Health Community center (CSSS jeanne Mance) in downtown Montreal
- grant: Ministère de la santé et des Services sociaux
3. Health pro-motion program and free dental exams and prophy treatments for pregnant women
from low socio-economic and immigrant populations
- In a district of Montreal agreement with a Health community center (CSSS de la Montagne).
Supported by le Ministère de la santé et des Services sociaux
4. Dental care treatments at home with portable equipment for homebound elderly people
- performed by dentist residents under supervision of a clinician for our faculty.
Agreement with a health community center (CSSS Notre Dame de Grâce)
5. Summer clinics for young children from low socio-economic districts of Montreal
- prevention and curative care performed by undergraduated students with the support of
the Ministère de la Santé et des Services sociaux Québec
6. Health promotion program for HIV AIDS adults in development
- In collaboration with the REZO clinic.
