The Mission of the Department of Dentistry is to serve the community’s basic oral health needs and this includes preventive measures to reduce the incidence of dental and oral health disease. All oral health service provided must have as its primary objective: Improvement to the patient’s Quality of Life.
The School of Dentistry is engaged in a variety of community services, from inner city clinics to sites located near the northern Alberta border. The programs are built on collaboration between the Alberta government and the University to meet the oral health needs in areas that are underserviced.
